Study Break Realizations.
I figured since I’ve been a good little “freshman” by studying for my Psych 100A nonstop for last two hours that I deserved a little study break. [:
Sometimes I can’t believe that I’m at this point in my life right now. It’s so amazing how quickly your life can change in such a divergent direction in such a short amount of time, or how many of life’s...
January 2010
Here I am again, up way past the time when my eyes first started to droop and the yawns roared out of my mouth, with absolutely no good, valid reason to ever be up this late. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever be able to revert back to a “normal” sleeping pattern again.
I guess I’ll drift into slumber now. Good night, world. See you again in a few, short hours.

What’s the best way to win your heart?
Feed me Almond Joys. LOTS of Almond Joys. And tell me all the corniest pick up lines/jokes you know. That always helps. [:

psychotherapy:
Why are people so blissfully ignorant of certain aspects of their personalities?
Take an everyday example: there are some infuriating people who are always late for appointments. A few of these people explain it by saying they are ‘laid-back’, while others seem unaware that they’re always late.
For laid-back people, their lateness is a part of their personality, they are aware...
Does Internet use reflect your personality? →
psychotherapy:
Using Eysenck’s classic personality test, Tosun and Lajunen found that students who scored high on extraversion (agreeing with statements like ‘I am very talkative’) tended to use the Internet to extend their real-life relationships, whereas students who scored high on psychoticism (answering ‘yes’ to statements like ‘does your mood often go up and down?’ and ‘do you like movie...

As of yesterday at 8:18 p.m., I am a certified Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper. All nighters seemed to be so cool last quarter. I just can’t do it anymore. It’s pretty late now according to conventional standards, but I’m positive I’m going to be cuddling with my bed sheets in less than fifteen minutes after this brief entry is posted. Last night’s arrival in my bed was a bit more uncertain, and I ended up going to bed an hour and a half after...

Philip - Where do you find random stuff to talk about
Meghan - How was Westwood :D
Katrina - Hello!
I am surrounded by posters of Idles. Notably Johnny Depp and his many movies. Michael Jackson is in front of me along with “Carrie” from Sex and the City and Harry Potter.
This room is not boring. Everyone should come see.

Dear Facebook community,
There are many reasons why Facebook included a status indicator in the information tab. While the prime purpose of having this status indicator is to let people know if you’re available or not, it also helps protects people from getting their hearts torn apart. Please take the time to honestly display your relationship status whatever it may be, and keep it...
Too Much?
At my core, I’m a very passionate person. One of my deepest flaws is that I let my passions override my own capacity to express them. I always want to do too much of everything, and I hate choosing which passions to commit myself to; I hate limiting myself, but I’m realistic in knowing that I can’t be everywhere doing everything. ]: I’m starting to worry that I might be...

You know what is fun? Rhetorical grammar is fun!
collegeisfun:
I was talking to my friend Abe today about rhetorical devices used in writing. You know, those fuckers like metaphors, assonance, onomatopoeia, alliteration, personification. Gentrification. (WHICH IS NOT ACTUALLY A RHETORICAL DEVICE. TRY TO USE IT IN YOUR NEXT PAPER IF YOU ARE BRAVE.)
But while I use these rhetorical devices (and others) all the time, I’d like to call your...

I hate this uncomfortable feeling that I get every now and then when I meet someone that I’m potentially interested in. Northern Lights sent out a mass e-mail to everyone that applied for a job position and didn’t get hired. Unfortunately, I’m one of those people that received this rejection e-mail.

2nd Week
I can’t believe I’m already at the end of second week. It’s so crazy how fast this quarter system goes by. But, I like it. I feel more motivated to stay on top of my school work. Alcoholic Experimentation
No, I’m not experimenting with alcohol right now. Experimenting with alcohol seems to be this right of passage that the majority of freshman seem to go through, but I don’t think I’ll ever encounter this kind of passage.
